Born in Sydney and raised on the stunning Sunshine Coast since she was three, Brittany (or Britt as she’s known around here) is one of our Occupational Therapists, who brings together her love of neuroscience with her passion for the great outdoors. After graduating with Honours from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Britt has dedicated the years since to specialising in supporting neurodivergent children and their families, with a particular talent for making therapy feel like an adventure.
A true advocate for sensory integration and neuroaffirming practice, Britt has a special talent for helping families understand the science behind their child’s needs in ways that actually make sense. Her diverse experience across Queensland Health, children’s services, and most recently in private practice, has given her a unique perspective on helping families navigate their journey, always with a strengths-based mindset and a warm smile.
When she’s not crafting creative therapy sessions or championing neuroaffirming approaches, you’ll find Britt living her best coastal life. Whether she’s catching waves, exploring bushwalking trails, or perfecting her downward dog in her newest pursuit of yoga and Pilates, she believes some of the best therapy happens outside the clinic walls. Her passion for nature-based therapy perfectly complements her holistic approach to supporting children and their families.
Factoids about Britt:
- She’s a CrossFit enthusiast who’s equally excited about her newfound love of yoga – proving you can be both high energy and zen
- Her perfect weekend involves beach walks, camping adventures, and cooking up a storm for family and friends
- She believes a good cheese and crackers platter (with baby pickled cucumbers, of course) can solve most of life’s problems
