The small Central Queensland town of Emerald raised the fun-loving, coffee-drinking, horse riding, and wit-filled lady named Janine, Jasmine, no wait…. Jamine.
Jamine is our senior occupational therapist, and one of the directors of More Than Able Therapy. Jamine’s smile, warmth, and generous nature are proudly sponsored by her coffee addiction. Ironically, this is also how she made it through her degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast. After graduating Jamine returned to regional Queensland and worked in the Department of Education and in the private sector; as a paediatric specialist.
When she’s not at work she can usually be found giving a pep-talk to whoever needs one, hosting a dinner party, or explaining why wine and cheese should be an entire food group. She has always had a love for people, and adores being able to help identify what makes each of her clients special. Supporting families and journeying through the highs and lows of life with her clients is something Jamine delights in.
Factoids about Jamine:
- She believes that coffee has actual magical powers. This could be because she’s an addict. We can’t be sure.
- She’s a bit of a wordsmith and froths a well-crafted sentence. She’s also working towards having some articles turned into a book one day.
- She knows almost every word spoken in the tv show F.R.I.E.N.D.S (she’s a Monica, but we love her anyway)
- She was born in South Africa, but you’d never guess from the way she talks. Only from her love of BBQ and the fact that she has a love of Rugby in her blood.
